Something For Everyone :)

Starting with the first three boards which are all SUP’s :

  1. 6’1”- 140 liters used for beginners and larger people in the 180# to 220# range. Using a larger board in the beginning HELPS with the stability issues everyone faces and makes the first flights a lot easier.

  2. 5’8”- 112 liters used for beginners in the lighter range 110# to 180#, or the larger individual who’s figured out ALTITUDE control on the larger board.

  3. 5’2” - 94 liters used for the more advanced person, weight doesn’t matter, its getting the feeling of riding a shorter board.

The 5’2” and 5’8” are used for Winging…..

    Surf or Prone Boards :

  4. 5’2”- 56 liters the perfect size to try prone for your first time. I see people learning on 4’4” -37 liter boards and they wonder why they can’t figure it out. Take two beginner surfers for example. Give one a longboard and the other a 5’0” potato chip, who’s going to learn faster.

  5. 4’6”- 45 liters for the person who’s comfortable on the 5’2” and wants to find out how responsive a smaller board can feel. Inches and volume do start playing an important role when you’re getting into this range. Here’s where you feel like you’re at a skateboard park on the ocean.

  6. 5’8”- 65 liters, Red Manta, bigger brother to the 5’2” for the larger person. This size is what I recommend for most people to start proning on. It’s stable, easy to paddle and you’ll catch a lot of waves, which is what you want to do in the beginning. The more takeoff’s in all different conditions helps you master the skill and then you start shopping for the smaller board. We’ve all done it and we all continue to search for that perfect combination of board and foil. Thank god for craigslist !!

  7. 147 cm - Directional Kite board. Easy to get going and used normally for bigger surf. Practicing on this before putting a kite in the air is pretty important. The boat speed is similar to kite speed and you’ll quickly find out how responsive it is.

  8. 122cm - Twin Tip, great in higher wind conditions used in big surf and allows you to expand your horizon with kite loops, grabs, Raley’s, S-Bends and countless other maneuvers. Ride this for an hour and your legs will be toast.

  9. The Echo 5m - the preferable wing in my opinion for any one who’s windsurfed before because of the boom. Hand placement is easier on a boom and you can easily attach a harness. I provide boat escort services when you want to venture farther offshore and don’t want to worry about making it back.
